That's a nice-looking plane.  Thanks for sharing.  I'm trying to learn the stunt patterns with an ARF Nobler.  Then I'll try to build a fancy plane later, if I manage to achieve some proficiency first on the ARF.

Good looking plane and nice finish.  How about some details like wingspan, area, length, finish and power.  Also How does it fly?  Hope it flies as well as it looks.  DOC Holliday

I like it, too.  I second the request for more info, but very nice building job.

I have some information on it since our own, Keith Sandberg, designed this little jewel.

It's the Challenger, a .15 powered sport/stunt trainer which is very tough yet can fly a 480+ point pattern.

Note the nose.  It has a purposely high "freeboard" so those inverted landings won't trash your needle valve.  The Minneapolis Piston Poppers host a winter building session each year at our club meeting site.  A bunch of club members cut kits for the Challenger and we all gathered in a warm building during the cold weather to start the gluing.

This Challenger will be available soon as a laser cut kit.  Contact Eric Rule of RSM Distribution.  The bottom photo is the completed prototype.  Wingspan is 36".  OS LA 15 flies it quite nice.  I plan to use a Norvel 15 BigMig on mine or perhaps the Brodak 15.

Hey Steve nice picture of Dale. Mine is powered with OS 15fp. I plan on 52' lines. Came to a weight of 23oz. A little heavy. The numbers and name are painted on using clear Contac paper as a mask. Printed the letters and numbers  mirrored on the backing paper side. And cut out with a sharp Xato knife. CoverLite on the wings as the wing is very strong as built and doesn't need strength from the covering. Rustolium on the fusalage and letters.

Are plans available or do we have to wait for the kit?  It is really intriging, the looks of it.  DOC Holliday

Keith said he's thinking of a 40 size one next. They are Keith's plans so I really should get his ok, but I got extras.
