Title: My New Handle
Post by: Glenn (Gravitywell) Reach on April 11, 2009, 12:02:20 PM
This is my new handle that I made out of a chunk of mahogany I had lying around.  I based it on an E-Z-Just handle.  I like the way they fit in my hand, although I did find that they were a hair too big for me.  I have very small hands (and no, size of hands has nothing to do with anything else!) and always have trouble finding handles that fit.  So one fine gentleman on another forum (Brotherhood of the Ring) sent me a drawing of the E-Z-Just and I adjusted the size to suit.  I just have to paint the "UP" side, drill for a tether and varnish it.  What do you guys think?;@

Glenn,
If you are going to connect the two bolts with a plate to make it a hard point handle -
I recommend you reverse the bolts and trim excess off the back.
Reason: I have seen lines catch on the threaded porton of the bolts when lines go slack  resulting in a lost model.

Excellent thought Roger....thanks.  I am going to make it an adjustable hardpoint with a connecting plate of aluminum.  I will do as you suggest, that makes good sense. H^^

John Miller showed me his newly “Finished” handle this weekend.  John you should show it off here.  All he needs is a matching line reel like the Europeans do up.  It puts most of us to shame – their level of detail.
