Here is my new Osa Ama. I test flew it last saturday, and I was most impressed with the way it flew. Made a few mods once I got home and as soon as this rain stops, I hope to get it back in the air.
Has an OS LA46 and weighs 52oz with no nose weight.
Bob Hunt suggested it and cut me a wing. Thanks Bob! Looking forward to VSC. ;D

Bill, You did good Buddy. I like the colors. Sorry won't see you at VSC this year.
-
Nice! y1 Good luck at VSC!
-
Looking forward to seeing it "up close and personal" .... also YOU, my friend!
-
Looks fantastic Bill!!! Sounds like a winner!

Oooo, neato! You build and finish very well. Mine just have colors on them, and fly. I like the plane, too. You know the story of how the plane was named, right? That's when I first heard of the plane, and decided I liked it. Good job!

When did you start construction Bill? I have one in mind a ways down the road

Bill,
Gene would be proud, it is beautiful. Have you made wheel pants for it?
Have a good time at VSC.

Outstanding Bill! Love the canopy treatment. Silver is tough and you did it well.

That is true art on a line! Amazing ink lines. Adds so much to a model like that.
Love that classic.
Wonderful job.
Gives me paint envy.

Thanks for the interest. It has my grass landing gear on it now. Will put the blacktop gear on it for VSC. Took me about six mo. to build.
I guess it's my tribute to Gene, sure liked that guy. From what I hear he sure could play the guitar. Bill

Cool looking airplane Bill , maybe we can see it in Muncie .

Jose Modesto and I were around to watch Gene fly his. His ability to maneuver the plane with the engine off was something I still don't understand.

Yes, Gene played guitar with some very famous groups. I will never forget the day that Gene and I played 4 handed piano at my house in N.J. We had a lot of fun.
Gene also was the best at wind flying that I ever saw. He would even remove the prop and have it launched into the wing.

That is one gorgeous airplane. H^^
