I was going to wait till I got some clear on it but couldn't. Anyway this is my winter project. Scratch built except the Christ Rigotti wing cores. My first and WOW kits are much easier. Ro-Jett 40 for power and Tom Morris controls. I am flying intermediate but wanted a classic bird for the Nats. I figured if I was going to be there watching that week I might as well fly a extra event. Gotta learn sometime and figured I would learn a lot.

Another shot

Nice job Rick.Good luck with it.

Bob would love the colors.

Nice! I think you're going to like it, if the RO-Jett .40 provides enough suds. Pete Peterson had a beautiful Caprice with an AT .36 that was really impressive. Luckily, the engine survived. Can't recall why it crashed, but that's the way it goes. Lack of line tension is usually the problem, caused by either turbulence or just pushing the luck too far when trim isn't perfect...don't do that! Try a TT 11 x 4.5" prop! H^^ Steve

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Today is clearcoat day pictures in a couple of days.

Well watch how much clear coat you put on. Also don't try buffing it out too soon. Plane looks great and I'm sure you will get lots of help at the NATS. You will also learn a lot by just watching when the guys are busy.

Clearcoat is on and mocked up. I am happy with it. Still lots of room for improvement but each one is better than the last.

Looks great.
