This airplans is a Long Shot it will have a brodak 40 in it. Tomorrow it will get its clear coat. Im very pleased on how it came out. Built it all by myslef with some good tips from you guys! (And my dad, of course!) Hope you all like it!!

Id like to thank Bob Hunt for the wing, and plans which I won at FCM and also id like to thank Dick Imhoff for the graphics!! And of course my dad becuase everytime I had to work on thr airplane he would come down in case I needed help

Samantha, your new plane looks great, and I think it should work real well with the B.40. You'd better get it out and start trimming real soon. Don't get too frisky with it before you get all the trimming done and it's safe to really wring it out. The TT Cyclone 11x4.5 prop works really well on the B.40.

That low of an AMA number is quite a coup, so take good care to keep it over the next few decades. Fly well at the NATS and do your best!

Some of the best contest stories start with " so I took this BRAND new model to..." Put the first flight on my Frisky Pete the day before the first round of Old Time at the 2012 VSC. Ended up in the top 20 if I remember right. Just stay focused and and on task. Better to fly an old airplane and keep the new one in one piece then to rush it.

That's what I though, the same age as Angela, the young lady I've been helping albeit sporadically (for a variety of reasons). Anyway, was hoping to draw some inspiration for her from this and the age is perfect!

I don't think the judges could handle it if she wore the same out fit at the NATS that she did at Brodaks. Yes, she is one terrific young lady and very nice. It would be great if all us old geezers could get our grand kids flying, even if for just fun.

Yes ill be flying in junior. The Vector did not get finished and the Long Shot was farther along. And yes Dan is judging

I was judging Intermediate PA at Brodaks when Samantha flew. She really had her intersections and shapes down. Both her flights were very good (but ya just gotta watch out for those over-runs!) We didn't give her any "sweet-heart" points, she earned her scores. And she came very close to winning!

Guys - she's going to be competing in Advanced very soon!

With the talent she has and the coaching available to her, she will be there in ADV next year and hopefully NATS INT champ this year. As long as she keeps her cool and all engine runs are good.
