Cheezehead 2013 Fun Fly is on!
« on: July 10, 2013, 04:05:57 PM »
We missed last year but this year it's on!

Joe was talking to some folks that run a Sr center in Bristol and turns out one of the guys there use to fly combat years ago and offered to let us fly in the yard of the facility. Entertain the residents and even offered to grill us up some food! Also said they might call the local paper to give us a little exposure. How cool is that!?
And I hope we can put a few smiles on some faces.

First Cheezehead Fun Fly was in 2005 I think.

If you are in the Bristol, Wi area this coming weekend stop by. Shoot me a PM for directions and date.

The first Cheezehead Fun Fly was in 2004.

Was Joe Connley, Ryan (aka Prop Buster) and me.

According to Yahoo maps that is a little closer than the NATS for me.   Anyway, glad it is back on again.

We did get a little blurb in Friday's Kenosha News. The director must have assumed that you all were old duffers like me. The piece in the paper says seniors will fly their planes. I guess you all will be able to ask for senior discounts now. She did emphasize control line planes, which I was glad to see. Looks like tomorrow will be nice weather. I went out this morning and did some touch up on the grass. Cheezeheads forever!!!

I live in Adams WI. Just getting back into C/L flying. Last time I flew C/L was back in 1967. Wish I knew about the Cheeze Head Fun Fly last week. Is their a way to get notified when next years event will take place?
