My Humbug or DOC's
« on: March 19, 2009, 08:44:31 PM »
Well it is no more.  Fourth flight at VSC it came in on third corner of hour glass.  Did not realize it was coming in until it took an abrupt turn to outside of circle.  Thank goodness for safety thongs and my wrist hurts again.  It was a total loss as motor mounts were split and center section build aws peices.  Spinner took most of the hit as the engine turns over good.  The wing is tough as outside of center section was still solid.

No worry tho as Eric has it in his book to send me all the laser cut parts minus wing tips.  Was flying great to that point in the pattern.  Having fun,  DOC Holliday

PS:Leo Mehl did have to give me an attitude adjustment.  jeh

Doc,

Sorry to hear that. Listen to Leo, he has a lot of experience with this sort of thing.   ;D

Doc flew his second official with his WU P-39...looked  pretty good from what I saw,  but I was getting ready for my flight on the same circle. Didn't really have a chance to watch closely, tho.

I lost PP's on today's flight. Leo, Dave G. and myself are pretty close in the results after two rounds. I'm at the end of the round tomorrow, for which wind and maybe rain is predicted for Saturday.

Mike's doing ok with his Freedom 45. He got RJ to fly it today, and I think he's got a really good shot at a repeat on the Sheeks Trophy.  This is Steve H. on Mike's laptop in the mo-tell room. I never use a laptop before...OMG...wot a POS!  LL~ Steve H.

The camera was in the car and I was not in the mood for pictures.  Leo gave me a spanking.  Finally got to see Leo fly the Nobler.  He doesn't do too bad.  Score board will show he out scored me.  Second flight on the P-39 was better than yesterday.  Having fun,  DOC Holliday
