Title: My Daughters progress on her Buster and Shoestring
Post by: Ed on April 06, 2007, 01:12:42 PM
A recent picture of Teresa's progress, by the way that is Clint Ormosen's Fox .15 on the nose of the Buster. Thanks Clint, it fits and looks good as if it was meant to be there. We should be ready for paint, the Shoestring will more than likely be to the print scheme. Tha Buster still working on that "butterfly" scheme for the wing.

Thanks Bruce I would love to but it would be a long drive, see I live in Snellville Ga. You know, I have in the past year built 8 planes and have not flown any of them yet last time I had a handle in my hand was 1975.

Two cotes of clear on the wood , tissue on with thinners, then heated Aryldite ,
Scraped of again to just leave a remanant in the tissue, and there as tough as old boots,

At least use tissue covering and two pot paint, to toughen the wood a little and keep out the fuel .

or teo pot CLEAR over the paint to finish, with two or four coats at the nose / tank area.

Well, the motor looks a lot better on that Buster than it did in my shoebox of Fox engines.

I wonder if it runs? LL~
