My Daughter's new SIG Buster and Shoestring she is building

Some Pic's of her progress the Buster is the one she wants the butterfly scheme. I'm thinking maybe these should be powered by a Fox .15 ?

  Hello Ed;
   I would think any .15 should be fine, maybe even a .10 size engine if you have one or can find any. Go with .012"X52' lines, and try a prop around 7x3 or 7x4. Off set the engine and don't forget the tip weight. You should be able to regulate the speed and lap times with this set up to find a comfortable speed for her to fly at and to gain confidense.
    Tell her all of us in the St.Louis area are pulling for her to finish them and can't wait to see pics of her flying them!

Both of those were designed around engines like the Fox .15 - without mufflers. Any .09-.15 should fly them pretty well. They are supposed to be Goodyear racers so the wings are on the small side. They make a good trainer, pretty stiff front end and the plank wing survives doinks into the grass pretty well.

.012 X 52' lines work pretty good, and 7X4, 8X3 or 8X4 props on a .15 running a bit rich should keep it managable for training duty.

Since you will eventually have both- you might just have to try a little racing, I've only competed a couple times, but flying 2 or 3 up in a circle is a blast.
