Planes I built this year! Not all have been flown yet , no one to fly with locally even though i have a flying field in my front yard with a take off pad. Best thing is my golf handicap is down to a 4. The Profile Vector is the best of the bunch so far, it is effortless to fly and lands smoothly everytime! Back to front : Pathfinder ST 51, Profile Time Machine OS46, Arf Nobler OS46, Ringmaster Fox35, Corehouse 1/2a Norvel 061, Magician 48 Brodak 40, Profile Vector OS46, Wee Duper Zilch Norvel 061, Little Magician Norvel 061, Stork (flapless) Norvel 061, Baby Teosawki Norvel 061.

Looks like you've been burning the midnight oil, I'm about ready to build a 1/2A plane I have room in my back yard, As for Golf my handicap might be approaching 75 , I some of you guys don't like a stooge wish I had a bigger yard I'd fly everyday.

That is great. I would come fly with you if it wasn't so far. In fact you would probably get to fly my planes that have yet to flown this year. I'm working on two more right now. H^^

Half A planes can be a lot of cheap fun, once you learn their characteristics. Planes handle wind in relationship between speed vs. weight and size. Big, heavy planes handle wind better.
Half A planes use very little fuel or electrons. I've gotten 3.5min. with a 1000mah pack on a Li'l Hacker. It flies just like it did on a Black Widow .049.
.008 steel lines have less drag but are a bit stretchy. Appropriate size Spectra lines have more drag, but shortening them makes up for most of the extra drag.
Half A's tend to react much faster than larger planes and need a more forward balance point and matching the handle spacing to the bellcrank size(or vice versa).
Anyway, have fun Ray. Hope to see you next summer.

Ray, see you are from Greensboro. I used to live in Kernersville. Not there anymore but we do head south quite often - I'll reach out to you when I'm down that way again - I just have to figure out how to tell my wife why I'm taking up all the room in the car with my plane and field equipment.

McCoy40, If you don't have room for any planes or equipment no worries, at last count i had 48 ready to fly. We have plenty of room for overnight guests also, let me know it would be our pleasure !!
