Well, the important thing is that you didn't wait till the last minute!
BTW, you will need your AMA number on it somewhere this weekend.

From experience from myself and watching other pilots; Do not take a unflown plane to a contest. It is disastrous in the happening. I will never do this again. Put up a bunch of flights on it this week. Get it trimmed out and get confident that you can fly it gracefully.

I have to admit that over the years I've shown up at the NW Regionals many times with an unflown plane. Sometimes it came out OK, but usually the normal teething problems a new plane has kept me from really doing well with it. More recently, if I have a plane that is largely not been flown, I take a well flown and known backup. That's the plane that usually gets the time when in comes down to it.
This year I will bring a new plane, but it has 15 or 20 flights on it and the gross trim is done. While I don't expect to surprise anyone and certainly don't expect to place very high, it should be a competent flier.

Jack, you gotta see Clint Ormosen's Sig Mustang. I hope he brings it. Speaking of Sig Mustangs, I have a partially built one for which I'm supposed to find a good home. Is anybody interested? I am willing to deliver it to a local contest.

Well, I do have the magician that will probably be the go to plane. We'll have to see how this week goes with work and weather. Howard, I'm willing to adopt, have room for another.

Aww shucks, Howard b1. Thanks! Sorry I won't be able to make it up there. I've never been to this contest. Maybe next year.

Clint, thats sweet. Hows she fly?
-
We'll miss you, Clint. It's a fun contest.

If she flies as well as she looks, you have a winner in my book. H^^ By the way I have had two SIG Mustangs and both were box stock with Fox 35 Stunt for power.

Pretty good for not having that much wing area. The hourglass has always been a problem with it. I've used it for two full seasons now and I'm trying to retire it soon. I've been able to fly it to the upper 400's and once into the 500's.
