WOW!! The National Corvette Museum had a sink hole open up swallowing 8 of their prize and rare corvettes. The total costs of those corvettes is right at a million dollars. OUCH!!!!!

They were very lucky that there were no L-88 Corvettes in that mess.
One million plus per car.

Ouch!

I watched their security camera recording -- even if they get them out, they'll be pretty bunged up.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

The 62 must have been nice or unique to be at the museum. One of the news networks reported a "63 Sting Ray".

I have been told that Chip Miller when he was alive owned an example of every Corvette made. He was one of the owners the the Carlisle Fairgrounds in Carlisle, PA. Huge Corvette and other make swaps. Miles and miles of cars, many times a year. Chip Miller's son, Lance, inherited the collection. Far as I know this collection is not exhibited. Over the years I've seen a few of the cars. Chip drove his favorites when he felt like it. Even raced at least one example. His son races a 1959 in vintage races, a solid axle car, very fast.

Here's a pic of the car:
