Ink lines?    Naw, I don't do ink lines unless its on paper!
 Why bother on a 14-15 point ship. I could have a 50 point ship and it still won't make me fly any better!

Maybe not fly better, but Ink lines and rivets can be beautiful, and, sort of like after your car is washed and detailed, you get the feeling it runs better.........

David Chang said he studied Windy’s Videos on finishing and air brushing hours on end,
And then duplicated his technique.  David got a hold of some dvd’s Of Windy and made a study of it.

It is Certified white, Sig orange, Sig maroon, and Brodak lime.

I used Certified thinner in all.

Unfortunately, my pilots are a bit on the sad side.  They either have expressions of shear terror "OMG!  I'm in the plane that Richlen is flying!!  Mommy!  Mommy!"  Or they have a look of resignation, fully aware of their impending doom, as in this one.

I carve and sand them from blue foam and use acrylic paints.  I've been looking to take an adult class on sculpture in hopes of improvement.  Can you imagine that first session when they go around the room and ask the students to state why they are taking the sculpture class?  Typical responses from other students: "I have always admired Michelangelo's statue of David and want to reproduce it."  Me: "Well, ahhh, errr, ahhh, I want to make better blue foam model pilot heads...."  My pilots always seem to end up looking like a cross between Kim Jung Un and Juan, the guy who picks Folgers coffee beans.  They are supposed to look like me, but never do.  (Or maybe they really do?  Like most people, I suppose I think that I look better than I actually do.  Carl: am I that sad-looking when I fly my planes?)

I do enjoy decking out the cockpit.  It doesn't seem right to have a pilot-less, cockpit-less airplane.  Looking at these pictures now, I see that I should have added rivets around the frame of the enclosure.  You can never have too many rivets....
