I'm not sure there ARE ANY .25 sized motors on the market any more.  I'd go to Ebay and see what you can come up with.  There you  might find an OS 25 , FP, LA or older S style.  The old Fox .25 isn't too bad for sport flying.  I've converted a few R/C engines in that size to control line.  (GMS brand)  Your best choice might be Thunder Tiger if you find any.  The closest thing to new manufacture might be a K&B .28 from MECOA.

The OS 25LA is a good running engine. One can still find NIB or low hour engines on eBay or on RC Groups. Over the past 2 years I have acquired 4 of them NIB, but RC version. I was able to easily find OS stock venturis and spray bars to convert them to the 25 LA-S model (for control line). All of mine have the rear needle valve setup.

Best for what?  The "new" OS-25LA-S (RN) is, I think, one of the best out-of-the-box stunt engines of any size, as far as run quality goes. The 25FP ABC is far and away the most powerful in the 'small engine experiment' tests. But I know for certain that the 25SF and even more so, the 25VF are far more powerful yet.

Fox 25, OS-25S (baffle piston) run OK but are far weaker and only appropriate for small "19-sized" models. The Brodak 25 is a stronger than the baffle-piston engines, runs in the same low-performance mode for stunt,  but no match for the 20FP, 25FP, 25LA (either version) as far as stunt performance goes.

Unfortunately, only one of these is still in production, and none of them are currently available aside from secondary markets (eBay, etc), so.

I'm not sure  that there will be any more Brodak engines.
Best to check with the Brodak shop.

OS FSR 25 is a ball race FP . the magnum , thunder tiger , & Royal clones are clones .

Bit heavier & gruntier than a FP so ideal for a light trad Fox firty five fing .
