Mother's Day
« on: May 06, 2016, 10:53:53 AM »
Seen it mentioned with other Holidays on another post.   I am not able to take my Mom's out for dinner or buy flowers for them unless it is to put them on their graves.   As I tell some of the youngsters who are complaining about their Mothers,  Take care of them as they are the only Mothers you will ever have.   Especially the ones who were adopted by their Mother as she chose them.   Yes, I gave my Mother fits and trouble at times when I was growing up.   Also gave my Mother-in-law fits and trouble.   I miss them both very much.  Mother is the one who encouraged me with my model planes as well as my Dad.  So I guess the wife will be getting to go out for dinner this Sunday which is also my oldest child(JJ the son) birthday.   H^^

Yeah John, I too gave my Mother a very difficult, even frightening time, but our relationship as adults has been richer than I could have imagined. She loves for me to tell her about my CL adventures and contests. And watch my videos when she can figure out how to follow a link Lol. She thinks I invented all this stuff when I show her my fleet and shop. I guess she thinks I turned out alright after all. I'm glad we've made it this far, as my Dad only knew me up till I was a teenager, and not a very responsible or respectful one. I was too dumb to realize my loss when he died.
