Lucky he's in Canada.  He didn't have to register and therefore won't be prosecuted.
Back inside, them video games aren't going to play themselves you know.

It could be a Canadian operator or maybe not.  Jeff at Canada AM streams video clips from all over the world if it strikes his fancy.  The Drone operator may not have been aware of any such "legal requirement" when he opened the box that Christmas morning. "Santa" was not there to tell him, "Oh, btw, you need to register this thing."  Unlike the Surgeon General and cigarettes, there may not be a warning label on the box from the FAA (or maybe there was?).  Just a rather interesting snap shot of a first time (?) drone operator.   My son bought me a micro drone two or three years ago for Christmas...it's never been out of the box.  Same is true of the Park Flyer R/C F-18 the mother in-law got me...and that was 8 Xmas's ago.
