Doc,
It is my new digital Sony. I took 366 Pics and this is most that were usable. I need more practice with digital.

Digital cameras are great. I myself didn't get that many pictures this year. Also what is really great is that you can see instantly what you tried to take a picture of. Later, DOC Holliday

I think you did a great job on the pictures. I take a lot of pictures and my first digital camera was a Sony Mavica. I am sure you will be pleased with the Sony. Mine gave many years of service and is still OK, but a little behind the state of the art today. I now use a Canon SLR digital that works pretty good for getting in flight pictures because it has a very fast auto focus. I do need to get a longer lens.
What is the orange and green plane that looks like a 30's race plane?
-
The green and orange thing that looks like a '30's racer is a scale model of a '30's racer. It was a Bellanca "Flash" and flown by Tom McClain in OTS. H^^ Steve

Anyone, is the Orange and Green Bellanca Flash, C/L a kit model, and if so, who's the manufacturer? Thanks

The Bellanca Flash that Tom McClain flew at VSC was designed by Walt Musciano. Plans were in an old Mechanix Illustrated magazine. Plans are available from the AMA plans service.

Whatever happened to Tom McClain?

All I get is a "Server Not Found" message.

He's teaching BB-gun marksmanship to high school ROTC cadets. He's also completed another B-26, not sure if he's flown it yet.

Guys, This thread was started in 2007. Just FYI

Thanks Jim. I didn't even think about checking the dates. I did wonder why somebody was just now posting photos from such an old contest. That was one of the last VSC's I attended.
