Well here are more adventures ……
Ryan and I did our first flight in beginner. You can look at the picture below and figure out that I am not in last place. Student is now the teacher. It is nice to get feed back from the judges right after you fly. We got to meet Phil, and he gave me some notes on how to put wing tips on my Twister. It might be a winter project. It sure is nice to get information right on the spot. That was the morning. We watched a few combat matches, Ryan would love to try his hand at it. We did get to meet Catdaddy, nice fellow.
Big Art came out today and the love and support that surrounded that man was moving. He is truly blessed by some friends that seemed more like family.
After lunch was Junk Yard Wars. Ryan, Jonathan, and I built a very ugly plane. We were not the first one to get one built but we were the first team to get one in the air. Ryan and Jonathan did most of the work, and Ryan was our pilot. I think we won the appearance points. Most of the moms cheered for the young boys. It was all good.
After that the Brodak kitchen was open and it was some very good eating. Food was hot and the drinks were ice cold. After we were fed, it was time to work off some of the food. Ryan and I grabbed our planes and headed out to find a practice field. He put up his Tutor and tuned up for tomorrow. I flew my SkyRay and finally got the beginner pattern done this afternoon. Sure would have been nice to do it this morning.
Here are a few pics from the day.
I got to put a few more faces with some names. Met Roger V. and Frank C. Super Nice guys. Frank did not bring his LA Heat, and most of you know why. It still will not fit in his truck! LL~
PS- That Sam I am that Sam I am, I need to meet that Sam Laughery guy.
