I know other parts of this great country of ours are worse, but after "67" days without RAIN, I am looking out my window at a pretty good downpour ( this being 15 miles west of Milwaukee, WI )....man, we sure need it. Thank the Lord!

Was going to load up the mower and go mow the circle that hasn't been mowed in a month, but it was raining.   By the time I was back in the mood to go mow and fly it was time for racing.  USMTS was in town(United States Modified Touring Series).   Our local hot shoes tried to stay with them.  They are fast.

Hey  John,

   What circle are you mowing?  There has not been enough rain here in the last two months to grow grass enough to need mowing.  What happened to the circle up at the Northern Knights field.........i doubt it needs mowing either........TD

We've been blessed with getting a lot of much needed rain.  Unfortunately it has been coming in the form of "Severe Thunderstorms".  This is the time of year that the thunder really rolls and the potential for tornadoes is increased.  Starting around April and continuing through the Summer the potential for a tornado is ever present.  A side factor of the bad storms is that all the long leaf pines shed tons of their needles.

Well here in England we've had nothing but rain for 3 months, the wettest  summer since records began and we're sick to death of it. Jeez! how I long for a drought!

Yeah, send ot over to the good ole USA.   But, then again remember the preacher always said watch what you pray for.   Hard to beleive the race track was flooded out for the last half of the season.   Even this year with the rain Friday morning, the track was still too dry even after the water truck went over it. 

I guess someone hasn't read my posts of where I am flying now and why.
