Previews of new plane will be coming sometime tomarrow
« on: July 07, 2007, 12:20:31 AM »
Tomarrow is the day that I pul the raps on new animal called the Bear by Mr. Gieskie. this was finished in the last two weeks out of desperation caused by inadiqite weather in Washington. They call it bad air, I calli t Washington air. In other words it is not favorable to Oregon flyers. Paul Walker had perfect air when he flew, go figure. Cry Cry. This plane to finish out the season I hope. HB~>

   HEY LEO;

        Let's see here, you posted this at 02:21:31AM today. Today is Saturday, does that mean we won't see the "BEAR" until Sunday? Or will we see it today? Also "TOMORROW" never gets here, everyday when you wake up it is today. That means "TODAY" is the "TOMORROW" you worried about "YESTERDAY". Now that we have you totally confused, are you going to show us the "Bear" TODAY or the NEXT DAY? Now I'm confused?   LL~ LL~

Are you sure you didn't get hit by flying debree or is your record stuck. I will power this with a Moki 51. Will weight well under 60 oz. 4 1/2 oz tank. will probably fly on 62' lines, so if judging stand back just in case of any whirling dervish wind we encouter. Did I say It is going to be powered by a Moki 51. and will wieght well under 60 oz. See you at next contest that I can go to. I am glad you are not too inquisitive or I would have to tell you this plane will be powered by a Mok1 51 and wieght less than 60 oz. Leo...I was hoping, that by repeating all the questions again and again, and again (etc.) (ain't "copy & paste" wunnerful?), that YOU would remember the questions long enough to answer all three. You didn't! I also think that such a post should give the basic info, to reduce the number of followup posts, asking for that basic information.

So...is this the UHP kit, or from fresh scratch? Jeff Rein has ordered a UHP Saturn, probably arrived and half built by now, he being a combat flier, and single. Power will be an old 80mph combat Magnum XL .36 on pipe! I'm trying to get a handle on how heavy one of their kits will build.

OBTW, if you're typing a reply and need a refresher on the post you're replying to, just scroll down...they're all right there. Bloody ingenious!  Take care of that new plane mw~...I'm looking forward to seeing it fly. H^^ Steve

Steve this was built from Kit and came out well under the required 60 oz. That Bob suggested. This kit has lazer cut parts and you will need some enginuety to build the body for parts are different than plans. Loosing planes is all about this sport and it happens to the best of us. Just ask Paul Walker  and any no. of pilots. @#$% Happens so no Big thing. Lets see, Oh, the ribs that are lazer cut seem to be a little brittle. If I was to build this plane again I would get plans and scratch build it. The wood was light  but some of the engineering of the kit could be better. y1 y1 y1 y1 y1 y1 y1 HB~> Also this airplane flys great. Wrang it out this weekend. Moki works great with 12-5 Zinger prop and  41/ oz tank. Have two Moki's and have used both Same time on the Tank For both. Turdle deck is preformed from 3/32 balsa Fun stuff. SH^

Looked at the pictures again and the leadouts are on the right wingtip.  Its the rest of us that fly backwards.  Ask Lew Woolard sometime.  Nothing like watching an airplane go up when he gives down and vice versa.  Have fun,  DOC Holliday

I got a to go to Portland a year ago and the guys let me hang out with them one Sunday afternoon. I got to watch Leo fly his plane bassakwards.
It was the hi-lite of my trip. Leo, Art, Bill, Jerry, Scott, and Ivan are some super nice folks.
Art even let me fly his plane.

Paul, we enjoyed you being here. We don't get to seem any people from that part of the country so we really had a great time. And no southern accent. What a guy. Our weather has been hot and pretty much dry this year with a few rain breaks this week. It was great week to test fly new plane. y1 y1 y1 y1 y1 y1 y1 y1 y1 y1 y1 y1 HB~>
