What is a reasonable price for a new in the box Cox Golden Bee .049 R/C with throttle and oversize tank?
-
Of course that's mostly a matter of how much someone wants it and what they will pay for it but I'd guess if you put it on Ebay it would bring $75 to $85. Tee Dees and the smaller .020 and .010 bring higher prices. If it's 'collector quality' and totally complete with perfect box etc., a collector may be willing to go higher. These values seem to run higher or lower in cycles. Right now prices seem depressed except on certain special engines. With so many older modeler/collectors engines going to estate sales there is almost a glut of once-valuable ignition engines going dirt cheap. The market is shrinking.

Thanks Dave.

With rc throttle barrel NIB you can get collectors excited. 60-200 bucks if two collectors want it.

Like Dave and Dan said, depends who and how many people want it. I will say that this combination isn't too common. It takes a special cylinder for the throttle sleeve to work. If the packaging states that it is an R/C version, then it should be all factory. If there isn't anything on the packaging, some one could have swapped parts around. I think a typical price for a Golden Bee is $40 or so, depending on condition. They made a lot of them before going to the Black Widow. But your example is a bit unusual, so difficult to say.
Type at you later,

Recently I got a new never run K&B .45 Sportster R/C with optional bulkhead back mount sans box and docs, winning bid $40 + $13 shipping + sales tax. OTOH another in box was $85 starting.
Yet, I was able to get a muffled Cox .09 Medallion R/C in new never run without box and docs for under $40 2 years ago. Sometimes things go for crazy prices, other times, you catch it just right, and get it for a reasonable price, so it is hard to say.
