Title: Miss labeled Brodak paint?
Post by: Dennis Toth on August 20, 2023, 01:15:49 PM
Just started to do the recover/refinish of my El Diablo and was going through my stock of dope and found what I thought was a can of Brodak Lemon Yellow. This was an unopened can and since the trim is lemon yellow I thought this was great. I had some Brodak thinner on hand and since this can has been sitting around for several years I thought I would open it and add a little thinner to get it back to useable consistency. Well upon opening the can it looked very dark, not yellow. A little stirring and it seems to be dark red! I can't believe the material just degraded to this dark red and most likely is a mis label. Anyone else have this happen?

Actually I have but it was a long time ago and SIG yellow.  Turned into a burnt orange that didn't match anything.
