Now that is the way I remember finishes on the planes when I started.  Simple and nice.  Hope it flies as well as it looks.   DOC Holliday

You build some gorgeous airplanes.  I agree with Doc on the finish too.  Keep the pictures coming.

The finish was purely intentional for EXACTLY that reason - that's how they're SUPPOSED to look! ;D ;D ;D

(There is a bunch more pics in the Old Time section)

Thanks guys!

Hi Wayne,

You really have the hang of coming up with nice paint schemes and you do really pretty work!  y1

That Viking is one of the best looking, if not THE BEST looking, Viking I have ever seen!

How does it fly with the K&B????  That one looks like one of the 40s that John Brodak had made, with development by Mike Garmon, before K&B shut down.

Where do you come up with all the time Wayne?

How about putting ALL of your planes on the driveway and give us a group shot?

H-D Man,

All the graphics are computer cut from adhesive vinyl by a friend of mine who has his own vinyl graphics business, Robb Kaiser at Blown Concepts in Plymouth, MN (a Mpls suburb). I just sketched out the design and had him make them up for me. For the K&B logo, I just had him scan an old engine instruction sheet and we made them up from that. He made all of the graphics on this model, I just apply them and then clear the entire model.
