Title: Minneapolis Piston Poppers Frozen Fun Fly...ViDEO))))
Post by: Shug Emery on January 02, 2015, 07:09:28 AM
The Minneapolis Piston Poppers Annual New Years Day Frozen Fun Fly.
We had terrific attendance this year with over 18 members showing up. Good weather...25º and not too windy. Some fine chili from Karen.
It felt good to get a handle in my hand and get a maiden flight on my new Nobler.
Whoooooo Buddy)))))

Good gathering, even I might have come out in the ice if chilli was there. Looks like you've still got the touch. And the ol' Prowler is behaving... except for that running out of gas thing. Good save.

I got in a couple of flights late in the day on the Eve with my Coxengineforum Reed Speed contest Mustang. Unfortunately the video is classified super secret until the judges watch all of them.

Happy New Year
Rusty

I have a couple of friends that live not far from Duluth. My wife and I head down there every couple of years
and spend a week with them with them. Would love some contact info in case we head your way in the summer of 2015.
Usually head down late July/early August. Awesome video BTW. Not sure we could pull that off here though. -37 today
with the windchill. Not even sure an LA46 would start in those temps n~

Shug another great video.  See you guys are trying out the pucker power on some of the maneuvers.  Especially you running out of fuel.

Thankee. Trying to make the hobby look enticing to those that don't fly cl.

I had a good run on the Prowler. Put in a good glow plug and fiddled some. Hope it stays that way. The fuel running out had me backpeddling like crazy.
Look forward to that Top Secret covert Mustang video for sure)))

So good to fly yesterday. Scared I forgot how to!
Javier did real good. Think we will see more of him for sure.
