Title: Mini Mo Best gettin some color
Post by: Leester on September 04, 2010, 08:31:31 PM
It's not as big as the "G" Mans plane but it's taken about as long. Hope to get some clear on it monday. I'm using Brodak dope and will clear with the Brodak Crystal clear.

Yes, it was a poor attempt at using candy apple colors.

Bill, it's an approximate 25% reduced version. W.S. 44 1/2  length nose ring to tail is 29" don't know how to figure the sq's. I'll start with a FP 20 and can move up to the FP 25 if needed.

Todays work on it. Flaps, Elevators and wheel pants are painted with Dupli-Color and clear is MinWax Poly.

It looks like the wheels are not bent forward enough. Any plans to adjust them before the first flight?

Yep, I need to check the plans for proper angle but they need it no matter.

I adjusted the landing gear to a more acceptable possition. Also not sure how everyone else does it but on the wheel pants (from Tower belonged to a R/C plane ?? ) I made them fit the wheel space by cutting 3/8" dowell to size on each side of the wheel and drilling proper size hole for the axel. I c/a'd them to a ply backing which I epoxied to the wheel pants. Beats a ton of washers. Now to pin stripe the bottom of the wing. Who can I get the stick on graphics (Plane name and AMA number) from ?? My local source went out of buisness.  CLC ??

Looks good Leester!!! I like the Mo' Best.

Ping Louis Rankin. He should be able to fix you up. It might take him a day or two to reply to emails. He has been a little busy the past few days.  He was the CD for the MSC. y1
