Mike sure was proud. Linda soloed after only a flight or two. I didn't get a pic of the plane, but it's a beautiful Tucker Special.

The model was Mike Donovan's blue Tucker Special.  Her landing (solo) on Flight 1 was a "40-pointer".

By the way, that's Oklahoma's Joe Gilbert out there with her.  Joe is a masterful instructor.  I was amazed at how soon he took his hand off the handle and turned our latest PAMPA member loose!

Joe, it was all due to your expert help.  She wasn't going to go again ... was "riding high" on Thursday's introductory flight ... but couldn't resist your 2nd offer last Saturday which resulted in the solo laps.

Thanks again, pal.  Because of you and Mike Donovan we just gained a new PAMPA member.

My new model will be called "Wishful Thinkin'. There are a number of reasons for this, other than the fact that I wish I could fly like a world champ, and build models like them! I'll keep trying and wishing!
