Bill,

Do you have any more photos of the Chizler parked behind Larry Fernandez's Crusader?  It appears to be electric with battery access on the top of the fuse.  If not, do you know who it belongs to?

Hi Shawn I"m pretty sure that's Leroy Black's.  One of the many planes I didn't get a good picture of, I witnessed one of his flights and commented that it was 'almost silent' and that we (my flying buddy and I) should be careful around the circle.  Appeared to have plenty of power, I'm sorry I didn't make time to chat with Leroy and get all the particulars.  He's from Phoenix and is a regular at VSC, I'm sure he's planning on taking it to Tucson next march.

Some planes at the Mackey contest that should get honorable mentions are Gordon Delany's "Pathfinder Two", the team from Tucson all took turns flying it in Profile Competitor with Gordon taking first place.  You should see this plane do the patter with the two O/S .15 running perfect.   Also Anton Kephart's 1/2a Magician and Stan Tylers twin " 1/2a Flight Streak" were something to watch as they when through the pattern, in fact there were several 1/2a planes enter in this years 1cc event as well as Pampa pattern events.

The Mackey is a great contest along with the banquet and the chance to meet Charles Mackey in person.

Chris...

A well set-up Magnum does fly well, but for comparison you need to fly a well-trimmed Impact...there is a difference.

I know my post really has zero to do with all things Mackey....but I swear Palko and I possiblt with Banjock watched Bob hunt do a double reverse wingover
with a Mackey Lark. It should be on the list of possible additions to the pattern in my opinion...Guess you had to be there! D>K
