Thanks for the link Paul.  I don't get the paper, so, would have missed it had you not posted the link.

How about some explanation on how this was accomplished?  I think all contests should get publicity coverage, and very few do.

Hey Jim,
I am not real sure but I think Lou called the paper a few days before the contest and this gal showed up. Came over to the pratice circle and started asking Ryan and I a lot of questions, took our picture and then asked if I knew Louis. I took her to my leader. LL~

And I think one of the guys that fly's with us- his wife works for the paper and knew when the story was going to come out.
Guess it helps to call the paper or maybe know someone?

Also it was good to see that the woman reporter paid attention to details.... good descriptions etc....other than line control but still... Kudo's to her for the good job.

Very cool.

My method of geting the news people to our field didn't work out.  The chickens became dinner, the sheep just grazed, and the $20 escort ladies never semed to have change.  I was sure that the fireworks would bring out somebody, but the fire marshalls were not up for the fun.

They did however, to a man, have correct change.
