Memphis Stunt Classic is History

Well this was the first contest for Ryan and I. We did not place but we did win a few new friends. We got to put a few faces with names. We were very glad to meet some of you guys. Saturday the weather was great, but today the wind really picked up due to a storm rolling in tonight. I slid the SkyRay in on an outside, so I had to fly my Twister on my second flight. I did not do the eights.
I want to say THANKS! To Louis and Jim for holding the contest. I also have to thank my stooges, Ryan and Zuriel. I wish we had more time to take pictures. I hope someone got more pictures. Here are two. Zuriel and Ryan.
Until next time.

Hey Chris,
It was fun and we got to meet a lot of great folks. Next time there is a contest up there you need to go. Don't let anyone talk you out of not flying!!!!

Ole Yeller is not in bad shape. Bent the needle and a few holes in the kote. But I am dawg tired of flipping these old engines. I am in search of something more user friendly.

you guys always have a blast, thats cool. Pics are great, the Flight Streak is awesome, good camera work there. But the one that got my attention is the Mustang. Is that a Sig Mustang Stunter? more pics of that pleez ;D ;D ;D

I would'nt ask, but the Sig Mustang was my first bigger than 1/2A airplane, no kidding, it was bigger than me when I built it.  %^

Robert,

If memory serves me right, it was John Simpson.  I think it was the right size.  We put you on our sponsor list.  Thanks.

This was a "GREAT" contest.  I have had the privilege of traveling to contest with Louis this year and expected nothing less.  He is a truly Class Act.

To Bob Reeves, Joe Bowman, Joe Gilbert, Tom Martin, there was a road there 31 years ago!!!

I will do my best to get over in a couple of weeks.  I have to see what happens tomorrow first.

I enjoyed seeing you and the Tulsa Gang again and we will fly again real soon.

8)   I didn't get a chance to go to Memphis ( I was in Reno at the races)and I saw the winners boards for the beginner stunt. Could you explain the difference in the first round scores?

Lets see, low score for first round was 98 and high score was 249.5.  That makes a difference of 151.5.  The explaination for the difference is: The contestant who flew 249.5 flew very well, flew all manuevers and flew them in sequence.  If there is something else  you need to know, or are hinting at something else, please PM me.

 8)   I just noticed that in a couple of events there were some big differences in the scores . As in Expert there was a score scratched out and replaced with another score. And I see you used the highest score instead if a average of the two flights . Like I said I wasn't there so I didn't hear what was said in the Pilots Meeting.

The 98 was scored by my son Ryan. He had a bad day due to a poor pit crew. (me)
It was our first contest and he nosed over on landing his one wheel flite streak. We could not get it started on the second flight. So he got the lowest score.
We will do better next time.

Thanks Louis and Jim for a fun contest. You guys did a great job.
