Place a pin where you live give us some details. This idea came from Rootbeard (Paul).

Now you can find someone in your area to fly with. Providing they have placed their pin. To accurately place your pin-Zoom the map first and then place your pin.

This can also be found on the main page at the bottom.

Kewl!! 8) It'll be great when we get everyone on there, but will probably have to get smaller icons! Are you going to get the other C/L discipline groups pinned in here too? y1

Good idea, but the implementation is too crude and difficult
to use. (JMNSHO..)

You can change the setting to dots and makes it easy to pin point your spot.

Robert,

It's always easy to criticize, sorry about that. (I couldn't even begin to write
such a program, myself..) It's probably some clever little J++ thing.

And I have to admit, I'm an old man who doesn't have a lot of patience, and
doesn't invest much in learning how to use things nowadays. (Consider
the source - me!)

Best regards Robert. ;)

Hi Robert. Can you delete the pin I stuck in southern Tennessee. That's the closest I could get in  northern Alabama.  Another pin in Alabama kept coming up and blocking mine. When I put it in Tenn., I didn't think it had taken, but it did. I didn't see the icon for enlarging the map until too late. In a hurry. You know the rest.  y1 <= '' %^ :'(

Had my pin in NC last week but now it's gone.  Tried several times to enter it again but the system wont allow it.  I see Bill Littles pin is gone too.

In the top of the window you will see an arrow that says foreword and backward. Click on that. I think the program is changing pages when you do that because of so many pins.

Hi Igor,

I can see your red pin just fine!  Did you hit the "go forward" arrow on the top left side of the map?

There is a "Go forward" and "Go back" depending on which page you are on.

Glad we can delete and reset the pin, as I was almost on the Pacific coast myself, on my first attempt to place a pin.  ::)

Robert,
Maybe I'm just dense today, but I've tried several times to post a flag on the map and nothing happens.  I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

I think this is a nice idea...maybe it's just too challenging for us dweebs!

Robert,

My name is Randy Cuberly;  my e-mail address is randall_w_cuberly@raytheon.com

Tried to put it in Tucson AZ of course but it didn't seem to appear.  Now I learn that there is more than one map; that slid by me, so it's possible that it did take and I just didn't see it on the other map...Hmmmmm.

That's very strange.   ???

I moved my pin yesterday, but can't do it again today.

Perhaps I hadn't finalized my pin location, but the first attempt located it right on the pacific coast, so I deleted that entry, and moved it closer to Portland.

Could be a time limited editing capability, like some other forums use for messages.

Hmmm I have tried 3 times now to place my pin just west of Frank Carlisle and John Paris, but it never puts it on there?  I have added comments, and filled out all the fields... Sorry Robert I guess its just user error for some reason...  Can you stick it on there?

Thanks,

Ryan
