Here are the results of the 17th Annual Meet 'n Meat Contest featuring the World Famous Fox 15 Hurl. We had Prime Air, Prime Beef, Prime People and some pretty Prime Stunt.
FYI: Brett Buck's Drive for Five (5th Fox 15 Hurl Victory) was thwarted by the self-appointed commissioner of the Fox 15 Hurl, Larry Joey Jr. Fernandez. In other breaking news, David L. Fitzgerald came in last, although there are legal matters that will need to be resolved before that becomes official.

Hi Uncle Jimbe,
FWIW: I was flying Jim Goss's old Thunderbird with a Fox 35..............
(Yeah, I know "not much"! )
BUT: I had a great time anyway! And that is all I expected to get out of a wonderful week-end of flying! y1
It was a great "Air Show" with you, Brett, Ted, etc., etc. all putting in flights that looked d*&m near perfect to us as spectators.
Congratulations are in order for a nearly perfect (I say nearly because nothing is perfect) contest and I am looking forward to the next two contests of this year.
See you in Napa, Jerry

I take it Dave doesn't have much of an arm.

Given that he was not present, particularly so. I will let the Commissioner fill you in on the details.
And I have to admit I hardly distinguished myself, either. My record attempt involved the high risk low trajectory approach, in that it was going to be either really good (like last year) or really bad. 136 feet is dismal - I could have done a straightforward high-trajectory throw out to where Larry's ended up and have, several times. There's always next year!
I did win the support event, at least.

Gasp! :o I'd guess that you're wrong, Randy. Maybe he tripped and fell across the line drawn in the sand, hence the (yet to be settled) legal issues.
I'm wondering what happened to the Englander, Bobs Your Uncle. Did he even manage to find Woodland?
Good to see Heman flying. Missed seeing him at NW CL Regionals. y1 Steve

He was there but didn't go by BYU. He real name got on the scoreboard somehow!

He found it just fine. I can't say he found the 104 degree blazing sunlight quite as much to his liking, but, stiff upper lip, you know, eh wot?

"I'm wondering what happened to the Englander, Bobs Your Uncle. Did he even manage to find Woodland?"
Despite the weather, the gentleman concerned found Davis instead, which was fortunately at a much more agreeable 102 degrees and much to his own surprise he had an intermediate placing in his first ever intermediate contest. (2.5)
No stop signs, poles or trees were damaged on this occasion.
Even his ageing Sakitumi headed home with him in one piece.

BYU:
Your rightful position in 3rd Place has been corrected in the FINAL Results. My bad.

Just a couple of slight typos; I flew a Trophy Trainer powered by a B40 in both events. Now all I have to do is learn to keep my mind in the game and not lose track of where I am in the pattern. Oh well, it was a great weekend and I found out that I'm your favorite! What could be better CLP**

It must be hell having an evil twin....and sorry for the typos.

David's proxy thrower demonstrating the form that gained him...well, let's just say he supported the event. 8)

So, no run up to the throw?

Don't remember the run-up but here's the follow through. 8)
