As far as I know, the nearest 'hotbeds' are in Phoenix and Tucson.

Hi Frank,

Central Arizona Control Line Club has Four flying sites around Phoenix. Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday are big flying days around here.

The late Charley Bruce spent part of his youth (1930's)  in Sedona. He said it was sparsley populated back then. The town was named Sedona after the postmasters wife. Charley said that he met her on several occasions.

Charley Bruce was a fixture at the early VSC's. He was also an avid free flighter.
