Well I had to take the day off from work. Maxed out my PTO, use it or lose it. n~
The weather is way different then is was just a few days ago. Lite breeze and sunny, close to 50. I could not stand it, so I took a break from working on my scratch Cardinal and grabbed the Ole Yeller SkyRay then me and my shadow headed to the field. Put up a number of flights. Worked on my outsides and overheads.
Figured I was getting tuned up for this weekend. If the weather holds a few of us are going to try and fly. #^
Too much fun was had by me and my shadow!!! HH%% HIHI%%

Hey, how about that, I stayed home yesterday, we got about two feet of snow, %^ no flying though.
One of the biggest blizzards I can remember. But then again, I can't remember much. Just ask my wife. mw~
Put up a flight or two for me this weekend.
Gotta go do some more snow shoveling.

It was a bit chilly in NE Oklahoma today but I decided to get to our monthly meeting early and put up a few flights on the Streak. On my last flight Joe Gilbert picked up the camera and fired off a few shots into the sunset and a couple turned out rather nice. It was the only time the sun popped out all day.

Elwyn,
I like this one with the church in the background.
Neat to know we flew on the same day. H^^

Love your photos...
Once I tried flying my old Nobler in virtually total darkness with those skinny foot really bright glow sticks that were used by the Boeing flight test group for wind tunnel vibration studies.
I was working the 2nd shift at the time....and after getting off work I would drive down to the back DC parking lot.
I would attach those glow sticks to the fuselage with rubber bands..
Pretty cool and lots of fun until after a few flights..the rubber bands got soaked with Testors 39 residue...then bands started slipping...and on the 3rd flight of the night....that glow stick parted company on one of the outside square portions of the Square horz. 8
Although it was only minutes...of flying blind using only the faint shadows on one side of the circle and using the sound of the engine...
was more than pleased...when that old Merco 35 finally ran out of fuel...and by pure luck I managed a pretty good landing in the dark.
The security guard drove up just as I was getting ready to leave and asked to see my badge. and then told me to get my butt into the car and go home or he would call the King County Police if I ever tried that stunt again. LL~ LL~
