A lot of you will probably already know this but a couple of recent inquiries addressed to me about where I get certain building items for my models prompted me to post this.

McMaster-Carr is a source that I use a lot for items that I build with.  If you have not checked them out, it might behoove you to search around in their site a little and see what you can find.  Their service is very good and in most cases they ship the same day as you order.

I live in North Alabama. I have gotten stuff form McMaster-Carr is 48 hours. They are fast!!!   #^

My shop is in Rancho Cucamonga Ca, about 35 mi from McMaster-Carr,
 if I place and order by 12:00 noon, I will have it by 4:30 the same day.

McMaster-Carr stuff is always top notch and available.  Their prices are high, but you get what you pay for.

If I place an order before 5,and  as long as it ships from the Ohio warehouse (which most stuff does), I will have it by noon the next day.
They do all the customs at their end, so no border delays or surprise brokerage fees.
If it has to come from Chicago then it is two days.

The only place I know of that is better is Digikey for electronic components. I can order up to 9PM and have it before noon the next day.
