This is a passing of great historic significance. Mr. Hill probably held more AMA and world records than all other people combined. Whenever there was an article in a magazine by or about him and one of his exploits I always read it. Dig out the Model Aviation from a few years ago that described the model he built for the GPS guided flight across the Atlantic and read how he solved all the technical problems of getting a model engine to run reliably un-attended for the duration of the flight. The man was simply amazing and we will probably never see the likes of him again. The word legend is used to describe people sometimes, and in this case I don't think it's adequate enough.
God speed Mr. Hill.
