The recent thread about batteries had me thinking. I think this forum can use a "Safety" section. We have many sections on the varied aspects of this hobby we all enjoy. Why not a Safety section?
Let's go one better. Everyone who enters the Forum must first go through the Safety section and acknowledge they have read every thread and post, and once that was done, they rest of the Forum is opened up. Safety first! Right?
I'll even volunteer to be the Admin of the Safety section if this goes into place.

Safety section..sure.
Require everyone to read it...NO.
Sounds like big government invading our little slice of the internet.

The Safety section will be above the fold, and I see I have 2 volunteers to write the first posts. Thanks

Great idea and useful information.
Slightly off topic but what is "the fold"?

Ken,
That is an old newpaper term: "above the fold." I the article made it above the fold it was considered more important.

What good will that do, unless you require them to pass an examination to demonstrate they know the material?

I must have missed something, is there some sort of conflict about safety now?

I was finished with the safety BS when OSHA said you can only let go of the ladder with one hand. Absolute insanity.
