Scott,

Thank you Scott, nice of you to Post this.

I'm 3 miles from the coast so we didn't experience what the people on the coast did. They were actually told to evacuate.

I'm well equipted, generator and all, but we never needed it. Lost power for only minutes.

Thanks again for that.

Charles

We had planned to spend  the weekend  at ocean isle  nc , right on the border of nc/sc.. Decided to ride the storm out at home 200 miles inland..   Most of the Carolina Gang  are OK, some more damp than others .  We have been getting hammered with two days of rain, but little wind.

I gave not heard from Doug Taffinder, from charleston , SC .. hope  he. Found  high ground .

I am east of Charlotte NC about 150 miles from the center of the storm and not much effect here. Lots of rain but no serious flooding. Not a lot of wind but there must have been some wind burst as there were a few trees down around my area.

I'm in Columbia, SC, about 125 miles from the coast. We cleared the yard, but left several heavier metal chairs which went airborne but didn't hurt anything. Our oaks and maple held up okay, just a saturated yard pooling up, and my workshop is intact. About 8 hours without power, but we'll call ourselves lucky. A lot better than the same weekend last October with that dam-busting flood.
