Mass Cup Goes to New York!!!
« on: September 08, 2015, 09:56:08 AM »
I would like to thank the NEST for running a very good contest. My sons and I had a great time and we felt very welcomed. We are looking to return the Cup next year and maybe, just maybe take it back again!!!

Thanks,
Joe Daly

Joe It was great to see you with your two boys both flying. Share with us what it took to get them interested. Hopefully more youngsters can discover the enjoyment, satisfaction and challange of controline flying.
See you next season at NEST , or maybe I'll come down to Flushing from Albany.
Lyle

Cell phone pictures always seem to post sideways like that. I saved it to my computer and it was correct. I'm reposting it to see if it remains sideways or posts correctly. I have no idea why cell phone pictures do that, but I thought it oughta be corrected, in any case.  H^^ Steve

So, when I looked at the picture (as saved) on my computer, it was correct, but when I re-posted it above, it was sideways again. Deleted the picture, then ran it through IrfanView, didn't rotate it or anything, but saved it from IrfanView and then posted it again, and it's correct. I'm sure Bill Gates has something to do with this crap not working correctly the first time!  S?P Steve

Huge "thanks" to the NEST guys for putting on a nice meet:  Damian Sheehy, Steve Yampolsky, Chris Sarnowski, Dick Carville...Great to see the NYC flyers,
their electric stunters really flew well!  Also good to see old Rick Campbell back on the circle!

Congrats on the win Joe!! when I won the Mass Cup seven years ago, I was absolutely thrilled! I wish I could make it to the Mass Cup, but being in Florida doesn't allow that to happen.

Lyle,
It really didn't take much to get them interested. My oldest son Joseph (who won the Cup and now holds bragging rights over his brothers for a whole year!) was over my Dad's house 2 years ago helping him clean his garage out and saw some of my Dad's and mine airplanes and asked about them. So we took them out and started teaching them to fly and when one brother does it the rest of his siblings also want to do it. It is kind of contagious.

Steve,
Thanks for correcting the picture!

Neal,
We will be out at Flushing on Sunday this week!

You are so lucky.   Can't get any of my family to hold my planes let alone fly them.

Bob,
I will pass it on to him! I did ok, not good enough to be top dog in my house so I will have to hear it from my son on how he won and I came in second!!! At least till the next contest. So I better get some practice in before the 27th.
Thanks
Joe
