This was even more difficult than learning to fly inverted or tie my shoes...
(I didn't learn to tie my shoes...until the 1st Grade at school. I never really needed to learn before that. My twin sister or my neighborhood buddy was alway around to do that for me....

Worst trama in my young life was when I failed Boy Scouts knot tying
and couldn't recieve my Tenderfoot Boy Scout badge until I passed the test. (

Schutzie, isn't first grade when you had to start wearing shoes? When in 5th grade at one room school house, it was normal for some kids to go bare footed in good weather to save their shoes for special occasions. DOC Holliday

Up through the 6th grade I got one pair of new shoes each year!

So did I and one year I got them wet and mom put them in the oven to dry. My Dad ( a great cook) turned the oven on to preheat for somthing he was making. That year I got 2 pair.
