I am just finishing up a TF Score with an ST ,51.  The questions is where to locate the fuel tank.  If I install it where the plans say the tank will be approximately an inch above the NVA, me thinks that's way to high.  Just wondering where others have mounted the tank.

After noting the same issue, I (1) ditched the weird stock tank and replaced it with a 6-oz cylindrical plastic clunk tank, and (2) built a cradle to hold the tank in what conventional wisdom says is the "right" place. With clunk tanks the "height" seems less of an issue because of the moving pickup clunk, and because the height sensed by the engine can be changed by moving the pressure/vent line terminus in the tank. A lot has been written about this here and on Stuka. I have a ST51 in mine with stock (abnormally high) NVA location and it seems to work pretty well with the tank setup.
