Great; I've printed it and will stick it in my book. Now just to locate my local "Nitro R Us" store.

The R/C club here buys methanol, oil and nitro in somewhat larger quantities, so that members can buy the ingredients and mix their own if they want to. This year they are buying nitro only enough to fill pre-orders.

Red Max fuels will sell you a 4 qt case of 50% nitro with no hazmat charges. VP racing fuels will sell you straight nitro with no problem.

Thank you both.  Now I will contact VP and see if the HAZ Mat charges will require a second mortgage.................

Thanks, Phil, for mentioning Red Max fuels.  I have been to his place and used to use his fuel.  I might could just take a short road trip and buy some fuel and straight nitro from Fred.  My memory has been blank for Red Max, don't know why!

Does anyone know of a source for nitrobenzine?
I like to use it in my fuels.

No, but when you get some, I'd like to take a whiff.  I kinda miss it.

If you know somebody that's going to VSC, ask if they will bring you a gallon of nitro (or oil) from Mark Smith of Excalibur fuel. Then, call Mark and order it, pay for it, and make sure your buddy remembers to pick it up. Not that difficult, really.  D>K Steve

PS: Nitro Benzine has been banned by the gummint. Can't be made, produced, sold, or used. You don't need it, anyway. But if you still have some, send it to D.C.

Well, Steve, not that difficult for "YOU". ;D  Right now, I don't know of anyone near me who is going to VSC.  Maybe the Barry's are going, but I doubt it.  Anyway they are 4-5 hours away form here.  Pretty sure Tommy Luper ain't going.  Charlie Reeves "might" be, but then he's about as far from me as Tuscon is for practical purposes.  Remember I don't live West of the Rockies where there a tons of stunt fliers.  Y'all have it a LOT luckier than y'all realize!  So in actuality, it is damned difficult for me........

Methanol and Castor (Baker's AA) are easy to get.  I would have thought that nitro would be, too, considering where "I" live.  but it isn't.

A good guy PM'ed me a source for nitro which I will look into later today.  "That" will be a whole lot "easier" than trying to get someone to go to Tuscon to pick me up a gallon of nitro........  also, someone reminded me of Fred at Red Max, he's within short driving distance.

I wish I still worked in the lab, I could have given you a couple of 4 liter bottles of the stuff.  Hmmm, I have to check and see, I might have a one liter bottle still hanging around in the shop.
