Louie,
It sounds like a great plan. Take advantage of it. Take care of your health to make it last as long as possible.

Keep dreaming about those retirement plans. LL~ LL~ Really retirement is great and I would not change it either even tho I could enjoy a little more cash. Also take care of your health and enjoy the retirement. Until you make a schedule tho, you may find that you do not have enough time to do everything. H^^

Wish I was there with you....eight more long years for me.
-
If you are anything like me, you won't have nearly as much free time as you expect. Best of luck.
-
Hope you have better luck with finding modeling time than I have. Good luck.
All things considered, I don't miss working, even though I had a great job with a better than average company.

Ah, retirement time, that is great news Louie.......there is nothing better than having each day of your life belong to you. I stepped into retirement 16 years ago this month (May 1996). I have never looked back and have enjoyed every day of it......hoping for at least 20 more years. D>K H^^

Thanks everybody!!, I guess reality will hit me Monday morning when my wifes alarm goes off to wake her for work "HeeeeHeeee" but tomorrow I fish for fluke. I love the sunrise on the bay. Mother nature is waking up in all her splendor and the sounds of her creations are all you hear. Later in the day I'll fire up an old Fox! LL~---LOUIE H^^ D>K

Congratulations Louie! I hope you have enough things to fill your time.
I have to wait 90 more days before I can retire. I hope I can hold out that long!

The worst part of retirement ius when you wake up one day one and panic that your late for work! The best part is the realization that you don't have to go to work!
Joe, retired since 1998 and loving it, every minute, every day!

I envy all retirees, 2030 can't come soon enough!!
Enjoy

Your one of the lucky ones. H^^ Best of luck, enjoy it!
My Airline employer is in bankruptcy, my pension is frozen and I'm on the bubble for a layoff at age 52.
Retirement is like fading mirage for me right now.

HI Louie!
Congrats on the retirement. You will probably find (like the rest of us) that you won't have time now to do everything you need to do! LL~ LL~ LL~
Stay healthy, and enjoy it, it's the best thing that happened to me as far as "work" goes! LOL!!

Well today is the first big day of retirement and you are right, time, time. before I could only work on one plane at a time but I have already started resurrecting 3 builds! and I am setting up to cut a bunch of wood to make a bunch of line wrappers for the club. I guess I will have to switch from Ambroid to CA so I can build quicker and get to my Vector 40. Thanks again for all the good wishes! H^^ D>K---LOUIE

LUCKY!!!!
I have no idea if I will ever know what retirement will be like. I hope I can do it in ten years but it may be more like 20. HB~>
Just a hard working baby boomer. LL~
Lou - You need to post some pictures of your new office and projects. ;D

Hi Paul. My wifey "misplaced" our camera, but close your eyes and picture 2 drillpresses, a bandsaw, a sander and two tool boxes and all of this is covered with balsa! That's what the shop looks like.---LOUIE LL~ LL~ H^^ D>K
-
Hey Lou,
In my minds eye I came up with this. Stacks and Stacks of balsa. #^
I hope I get to retire someday.
Tail end of the baby boomers.
-
If you want to see stacks of balsa and the machines used to size it, go to SIG Mfg or even Lone Star sometime. The year we were in Lubbock TX I had the privelage of a factory tour. Same at SIG one year. H^^

HI Louie,
Now that you are a month into retirement, what's "the state of the union"? How are you enjoying it? ;D
