I am visiting my corporate office for a few weeks in Huntsville AL. Visited the local hobby shop which is one of the best I have seen in years. Great inventory.

Anyway, I cam across 16 sheets of contest 1/16" x 4" balsa.

When I approached the front desk to pay, the shop owner said, wow somebody who knows what they are looking at and bought it.

I am still down through the 27th but my wife is along with me....maybe i will able to break away for a while over the weekend if the weather is good.

Balsa is just really hard to find and I was about out of my contest grade so I jumped on.

The guy at the red barn told me the only folks that are building these days were the CL guys

If I walked into my LHS and found out an out of towner had bought  all the 1/16th contest wood, I'd be a huntin ya down with my shot gun.

one of the guys showed up at our monthly FF contest today selling some Balsa wood for a retired friend. i bought 10 sheets of 1/16, 10 sheets of 1/20 and a sheet of 3/16 all for $21. all pre weighed and marked RAD  1/2 A here we come

i bet a 1/2 A LANCER would look cool
