Well here she is after all the cutting and sanding. My buddy said I had a 2x4 on the nose of this plane. Some else said I needed to cut all the wood off the nose. So I did and it went from 56oz down to 49.6. I can save a little more if I get a different muffler. I could get it close to 46oz I think.
The CG moved back about 1/2 inch.
Anyway, it is a front row finish from 40ft away. LL~
We will see how it flys tomorrow. Stay Tuned.

Satisfying, isn't it? To be able to carve out such a significant amount of weight...it just has to fly better.
I don't think the CG moved far enough back to hurt anything...in fact, it may well help. Looks about as far back as you'd want to go, though, IMO.

Hey Paul, if thats the 3030 muffler it is 80 gms and the tongue muffler is 15 gms.
