Title: Major Event Today 8-7-2020
Post by: ericrule on August 07, 2020, 11:11:28 AM
Amidst all of the major concerns we have regarding covid 19, wearing a mask, trying to fly in spite of the government shutting us into our homes we need something to remind us about "the important things in life".

Today, August 7, 2020 is International Beer Day. Enjoy one and think about some of the finer things in life.

Well Eric, thanks for the heads up, but everyday is international beer day for me. I will drink an extra one today to help in the celebration.

My government isn't shutting me into my home. What country do you live in?

I'll take coffee any day over beer.   I also don't stay home.  I do wear a mask to get in the store, but have to pull it down as my glasses fog up.  Just got home from a rain out at the track.  Once in mask comes down until I go into the concession stand.  The girl at the register doesn't even wear a mask. Hi Doc, you need to do what I do. Buy a "good, made in America" 100% cotton Cowboy scarf. (bandana) Fold it into a triangle, tie it good, behind your neck and wear it like a train robber. It's not restricting and covers your whole face below the ears. The double layer cotton cloth is very protective of outgoing moisture and works quite well on incoming moisture. If you want to, you can tuck the lower part of the bandana into the collar of your shirt for added protection. I wear glasses and they don't fog up with the scarf. The biggest problem I have is with the people that refuse to wear a mask and want to get near you. 99% of the establishments where I live require a mask to enter, but many take them off or pull them down, once they get through the door.  n1

Many "home made" masks are worthless, except for looking good.  Try to fine a mask with some pedigree, or at least some description that sounds sort of scientific!

I am supplied three new masks each week,  at the clinic where  I submit to kidney dialysis torture.
