Magazine info Starting out small
« on: January 07, 2007, 12:12:19 PM »
As most who have visited here know when I started out it was in a small way. But after doing this for a while I have seen the need to broaden the spectrum of features for all to enjoy. In the past I have made mention of an on line magazine. The features of this magazine are wide. The readers will enjoy top quality articles right from your computer and for those who would prefer a hard copy, you can print what you want right from your computer to enjoy in your favorite reading space. With the language translator the will be incorporated you can enjoy it in your own language. Are there any other magazines that offer that? None that I have ever heard of. This will save on delivery time. No more where my next issue?

For the advertisers it will be in a three tear mode with the ability to track your results. As we grow you will grow. Instead of writing for free why not get paid? Article payment will depend on content. As a subscriber you will be able to view hour long building sequences right from your computer. Feature airplanes video's and plan service. Links to the products used in the articles, the possibility's are endless!

In the near future you will see a subscribe button on the top. Why not give this New way of reading about your favorite subject. As an added benefit the subscribers will receive added features here at the Hangar.

I'll keep you posted on the progress of this new magazine.

As everyone knows it takes money to do anything. Before I even consider taking this type of endeavor on, I need to know there will be an interest. So until I get a 100 paid subscribers we are in a holding pattern. Get in on the ground floor and receive an extra suprise bonus for the first 100. Enjoy!

Is there going to be an interest in this type of thing? Trust me on this this is the wave of the future and a revolutionary concept I have devised. If you think this forum is good just wait for the magazine!

We are working on the cover right now. This is not simple cut and paste. It's all code. If you see where to make a profile just enter your name and then once you have a profile you will see paid membership. You must register first it is a separate entity from this forum. So the data bases are not crossed.

And does one assume subscriptions not due yet??

Also when they are can they be made via Paypal please - much easier for non-US folk (well, me anyway!)

Cheers

Robert,

I registered but did not see a way to subscribe.  I want to subscribe and if you will allow it I can pay via paypal.  Yes I read and followed the instructions so just call me stupid and spell it out for me.  <=

No "Paid Subscriptions"

Using Firefox?

Would it be asking too much to let us know what the price is, before we go through the trouble of registering? I like the idea, I really do! Plus, I'm just about out of space for storing paper magazines.  :! Steve

Robert,

From someone that has been there you may be creating a 10,000 pound gorilla with all the features you are adding to the board. The board is fine and will take enough of your time and money to keep up. You really need to think hard and long about what you are turning it into. Someday it won't be fun any longer but you will already be obligated.... Food for thought...

Bob the same thoughts have run through my mind but then I thought a lot of people didn't give Robert much of a chance of having the premiere C/L Site on the internet either.  I've sent him the $24.95 for the on line Magazine.  Hell if it doesn't work out it can be a donation.

I will try to answer all questions at once. The cost is $24.95 per year, Yes you will be able to download it. As far as allot of work I know this this is why when I unveil who is helping me with this project you will be surprised. I would not try this alone. There is only 24 Hrs in a day. I already use most of them. So I am delegating some of the responsibility's.

This was my idea but I am no dummy. I know that I will need help. This started out as a whim but has turned into a passion. I can see the forest through the trees.

As far as the the start up money goes. If I get a 100 subscribers then I will know is a valable concept. If not this is not charity. I will refund all monies turned in.

This will be a win win situation. Please bare with me and give it a chance.

Hi Robert,

Thanks for the details. Sounds like a Great idea. Count me in. :-)

My profile still shows "edit buddies" as the last item on the list. Nothing about magazine?

I tried it through my AOL IP, and also through Internet Explorer. I even logged out then back in.

TIA for your help, yet again! ;-)

Robert,

I am in on the new Magazine. You now have my PayPal payment.

You said that you need our mailing address... How do I enter it, the profile doesn't seem to have this entry.

If I go to "my subscription" and use my PW. I get an error message... Help!

Hi Tom,
When you make a payment via PayPal, just before you actually transfer the $$, there's a screen showing all transaction information, including your mailing address. Robert will get that, too.
