Title: Mackey Lark Fuel Tank Size
Post by: ringmaster642 on January 27, 2011, 10:44:19 AM
I'm nearing the end of a Mackey Lark build and need to know the size of tank needed.
I'll be using a .42 ThunderTiger and eventually may use it for competition (beginner).
Anyone else build one?

I would try a 4oz or if you have room a 41/2oz ala tubes forward tank TT42 is close to a la 40 or 46 in fuel useage seen one with a Aero Tiger 36 in it with a 4 1/2oz tank in it

Ifyou are flying beginner you won't need much fuel anyway.  But, it is nice to have room for a bigger tank.  Now where is the pics of the plane? H^^

I have a # oz. tank in my lark with a Aero Tiger 36. If your planning to use a larger engine you might consider a larger tank (4 1/2 oz.+).

HI Gene,

The "#" is above the "3" (shift function).  Are you using a 3 oz tank with the Aero Tiger?  Or was the typo for "4"?  I seem to need 4 1/2oz with my Aero Tigers. ??

Thanks
Bill

Thanks for the reply. Will get the tank soon.
I'm just starting the covering process now.
Will post pics when complete. While this will be my best covering / paint work to date, it's not front row.
I'm saving that for my Ringmaster Deluxe.
