Anybody know what's happening with MECA?  (Model Engine Collectors Association)  Have not seen a newsletter in some while now.

Well, I can tell you that the engine collectors in the Virginia/Maryland area are very active.  The reason I know this is that they've purchased a number of antique / vintage engines from me.  Not sure they've published newsletters lately, tough.

The president of MECA (Bill Mohrbacher) has resigned due to health reasons. He also resigned from the position of editor for the MECA bulletin and swap sheet.

Bill was president and editior for many years. He did an excellent job and will be greatly missed.

MECA is seeking a new president and bulletin and swap sheet editor.

Rich Kacmarsky, MECA's swap sheet editor will assemble the Bulletin swap sheet for the near future, until a new full time editor is found.  Next issue is mailing out this coming Monday.

I really enjoyed the work I did for MECA,  but in my condition, it was just not possible for me to continue.  I have loved building and flying model airplanes since about 1950, joined AMA in 1957 so I could fly PAA at Willow Grove. I am not just an engine collector, but I do love our little jewels and their history.

Surely there are others out there willing to give back to this great hobby!

Bill,  sorry to hear about the health situation.  Thanks for your many years of work with MECA.
