The CD's for the GSSC are working hard to try and get some sort of lunch arrangement for the event, but lunch trucks want a minimum guarantee of $500.00 per day just to show up. Yikes! They are still working on other possibilities, but just in case the PC Flyers will bring a bbq and some hot dogs. We'll set it up on a "serve yourself" basis, asking only for a donation (cannot sell food on the school grounds). Any donation money over and above the actual cost of food will be used by the CD's to offset other event expenses.
I know hot dogs aren't the first choice of many for lunch, but they are easy to transport and lend themselves well to a do-it-yourself operation.
Hope this works for some. And "yes!" to Steve Helmick, Spicy Brown Mustard will be on the menu!!
As for the dogs at our Friday practice session; like the past years they will be FREE.

Now Hear This!! I met with the Clovis North grounds keepers yesterday and they informed me that there will be a baseball tournement going on the same weekend we fly. OK, that's fine . . . then they said their snack bar would be open #^ #^. They made a call for me and spoke with the person in charge of the food and he said we were more than welcome to purchase from them y1 y1. Therefore, I will NOT be bringing a bbq and food to the event. Their snack bar will be selling hot dogs, hamburgers, sodas, water, candy etc.
The Friday practice session is not affected, hot dogs will still be there and be free.
I hope that works for everyone.

I LOVE hot dogs. Especially BBQ'ed ones!

Wish I could come to GSSC this year, but it isn't in the cards. Had my tear duct drains blocked today...should have done it years ago. A few hours later, I knew it was a good thing. The permanent plugs go in Nov.1. When I blinked, it took a long time to open my eyes again, not too good for either flying or driving. Really made me feel very sleepy.
You guys have a good time without me. Oh, watch out for your brother Mike. He's flying quite well now. y1 Steve

Oh, come on Steve! Prop some toothpicks into those eyelids. Then you can't blink and you could come fly the GSSC without worry.
