Luciano Compostella
« on: July 19, 2013, 02:12:55 AM »
Hi All,

I believe that long time Italian stunt guru and all-round nice guy passed away a few weeks ago. Anyone have any details? He was certainly a legend in stunt, especially in Europe and was an "out-of-the box" sort of person with his many unusual by effective designs, even good stunt biplanes. This is indeed a loss to the stunt family.

Among  the many  memories of him will be  his trademark puff of powder to check the wind.

Thanks for the link to the story. I missed that unfortunately, I've been moving house, so I was a little out of touch. I did get to meet Luciano at a few world champs and feel that it was a privilege. Wonderful man and such a good pilot for so long, and yes.......the powder puff thing.....what a great idea! Sometimes we all get mixed up in the politics and tend to forget that the biggest thing in the stunt family is the friendships that we make across the globe. R.I.P Luciano!
